This embroidery was a fun one to make, I challenge anyone to not fall in love with a cute puppy in a mug. In fact this photo did give me the idea that if I am to get commissions in which I am invited to take my own photos of people's pets, I should bring toys and props to make sure I have a variety of photos to work from. When it came to the actual sewing of this embroidery I wasn't sure when I started whether I was going to sew the polka-dot cup or simply paint it. As I have said before every time you start to sew you have the chance of ruining the fabric or picture, with paint it is easier to paint over than it is to undo stitching or sew over. This meant that I was nervous with stitching the cup as it was such a large single area of sewing that once started I couldn't stop. However as you can see the spots and cup worked out with no puckering or terrible mistakes. Also like the other two dogs, I'm rather fond of this pup's face... look at his little tongue poking out.
