Stonehenge is a place that I've never managed to go to but always wanted to visit. The deep rooted mysticism and mystery embedded into the landmark is something that draws people from around the world every year. During the Winter and Summer Solstice Stonehenge is swarmed by Druids, Wiccans and other pagans in festivals that have ties back to the ancient world. It was all of this that made me decide when I had some extra time to sew this embroidery of a druid at Stonehenge during the Summer Solstice. My favourite part of this embroidery has to be the runes on the spiritual dress. Writing is always intricate work and as someone with dyslexia my handwriting isn't amazing when using pen and paper, so imagine how pleased I was to be able to sew the runes correctly when using a sewing machine. I have also got a video of me making this one that you can check out here.
